Welcome to IEM Mobile!

IEM Mobile is an app designed for monitoring NWS Weather Alerts, NHC Feeds, and NWS Chat Live features.

With the IEMBOT Monitor, users can easily access products from specific NWS Offices as soon as they are released.

For experienced users, NWS Chat Live provides the opportunity to join specific NWS Rooms to engage in real-time communication with storm spotters, chasers, emergency management personnel, and more.

The app offers two versions of NWS Chat Live. The first version, powered by the Iowa Environmental Mesonet of Iowa State University, is available to all users. The second version, powered by the National Weather Service, grants access only to Emergency Officials, NWS Officials, and officially registered users through the National Weather Service.

In addition to NWS features, users can also access Storm Prediction Center and National Hurricane Center feeds through the app. This includes updates on Mesoscale Discussions, Tornado and Severe Thunderstorm Watches, Convective Outlooks, and Tropical Weather Outlooks.

Users will receive automatic Push Notifications from the Storm Prediction Center and National Hurricane Center unless they choose to opt-out of receiving them.

Please note: While NWS Chat Live is compatible with iPhones, it is optimized for use on iPad and iPad Pro devices for an enhanced user experience.
